Hi, I’m Trecia
My story didn't start
in a therapy office.
It started in the carrying.
In the quiet. In the learning — very early — that being strong was not optional. That holding it together was the expectation. That my needs were secondary to everyone else's peace.

MY STORY
I know what it feels like to smile through something that is breaking you.
To achieve everything expected of you and still feel like something fundamental is missing. To lie awake wondering why — after all you've done, all you've sacrificed, all you've held together — you still feel so alone in it.
I know what it feels like to be silenced. Not always by someone else. Sometimes, by the voice inside that learned, long ago, that your feelings were too much. Your needs were inconvenient. Your real self was safer kept hidden.
I also know what it feels like to come home to yourself. That is the journey I have walked. And it is the journey I am privileged to walk with the women who find their way to me.
You've been carrying it all. The strength. The pressure. The silence. The weight of always being the responsible one — the one everyone else leans on, calls first, depends on.
But somewhere in all that carrying, you got lost. Not because something is wrong with you. Because no one ever gave you permission to put it down.
This is that permission.
Who I Am
Licensed Therapist. Speaker. Consultant. And someone who has lived a version of your story.
I am Trecia Lewis, a Licensed Clinical Social worker licensed in New York, Massachusetts, and Georgia. Three states I have each called home.
As a Jamaican-born woman of faith, I bring not just clinical expertise but lived understanding to every client I serve. I am a graduate of New York University with over 20 years of clinical experience working with women, couples, leaders, and immigrants navigating the intersection of trauma, identity, and emotional exhaustion.
I am the founder of Inner Strength Counseling and the creator of the Unsilenced movement — a growing community of women who are done shrinking and ready to come home to themselves.

Why I Do This Work
Because I have sat across from too many brilliant, accomplished women who are completely lost inside themselves.
Women who were raised to handle it. The fixers. The caregivers. The high performers who kept everything running while quietly disappearing inside themselves. Who carry everyone's mental and emotional load — and have never had anyone carry theirs. Who learned to numb their own needs so quietly they didn't even notice they were losing themselves.
The thing is — they don't need to be fixed.
They need someone to finally see them.
Are you that woman?
If you are — you don't have to keep doing this alone. I built everything I do — the therapy practice, the speaking, the workbook, the consultation — around one belief:
“The day a woman realizes there is nothing wrong with her is the day her real life begins.”
A Note
on Faith
My faith is not separate from my work. It is woven into how I show up — with compassion, with conviction, and with the deep belief that healing is not just possible, it is purposed.
You have prayed. You have pushed through. And you are still hurting.
Getting help is not a failure of faith. It is stewardship — tending to the life you were given.
For clients who want faith integrated into their healing journey, I welcome that. For those who don't, my clinical approach stands fully on its own.
You are welcome here exactly as you are.

Beyond the Office
I am not teaching theory.
I am living this.
I am a wife, a mother of three, and a Jamaican-born woman who knows firsthand the weight of cultural expectation, family sacrifice, and the quiet pressure to be everything for everyone.
I have walked through silence, betrayal, and the long road back to myself. I have rebuilt my sense of identity from the inside out. I know what it costs to keep going when everything in you wants to disappear — and I know what waits on the other side of that decision.
And that is exactly why the women who find me — feel found.
"Being strong was never supposed to mean disappearing from yourself."
